Bio
Roshni comes from a family of Gond artists; her parents Durgabai Vyam and Subhash Vyam are well known artists .Roshni grew up observing her parents at work .She began illustrating Gond stories at age 5 .As her oeuvre evolved, she combined traditional and contemporary elements in her work. Roshni has her Bachelor degree in Textile Design from the National Institute in Fashion Technology, Bengaluru, and works in the areas of painting, illustration, installation, design and textile.
She has participated in exhibitions & workshops in prominent galleries/events in Delhi, Chitrakoot, Jaipur, Bhopal, Colorado, Chennai, Paris, Lyon, Givors (France) and Korea. Her achievements include the Ojas Art Award as ‘Young Gond Artist’, 1st Runner up, Staffordshire University’s Wallpaper Competition, UK, Best Graduation Project Award, NIFT Bangaluru, speaker at the Bookaroo Festival of Children’s Literature, New Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore and speaker at Matrubhoomi International Festival of Letters MBILF, Trivendrum.
